A great man. He would move mountains for family and did. An awesome father.

My deepest sympathies reach out to Charlie's family, friends and loved ones. He was a great leader and friend and I often wish I could thank him for the many conversations and wisdom he shared. Despite diversity and challenges through-out his career Charlie consistently brought success to his companies.

In my opinion Charlie's greatest accomplishment was not that he created successful companies but developed great leaders and better people, exemplified through consistency in dedication, professionalism, honor, humility

Charlie was a great mentor and friend. TIMCO became a place to be proud of because of Charlie. He created an environment of integrity and compassion into everyday normal business. He always took the time to teach and praise his team. My life was blessed when he helped guide my career and taught me unforgettable life lessons

Military Academy, Class of 1950.

I learned that it was a mistake to ever walk into his office unprepared and, even when I thought

Charlie Bell was a one of a kind individual with the emphasis on kind. I met Charlie for the first time at the American Airlines Admiral's Club in Raleigh August 1990 for my interview that was set up by my best friend Brian McCarthy. Charlie was kind and courteous and a total professional. His final comments to me were "you are being under-utilized and I believe your talents are better suited for our Sales team with Brian". I was hired

In a green field at the Greensboro Airport, Charlie Bell built more than a 747 hangar and maintenance operation. He mentored, developed and built a team of young professionals that have now, becoming leaders with this family tree continuing more than two decades later. Growing to nearly 1700 men and woman, TIMCO become a world leader in heavy transport aircraft maintenance and it grew because of the foundation Charlie poured.
