In 1989 I met Charlie one snowy December evening in Raleigh . He interviewed me that night and hired me a few days later to be part of the startup team for TIMCO.
I loved working with him, he listened, he asked questions, he described his expectations, he gave you opportunities, he rewarded you for excellent results. Charlie was a leader and his vision turned that mud and steel into reality. I will always owe Charlie a debt of gratitude

We are heartbroken to lose Charlie. He was an amazing uncle and brother-in-law. He blessed our lives in so many ways. Always a true gentleman. I know he is with Lee watching over all of us.

Mr. Bell was an incredible man. When I was little and he would come to visit, I thought Mr. Bell was my grandfather; I was convinced I had three grandfathers. Admired by many, Mr. Bell put others first throughout his life. Every time I saw Mr. Bell, he encouraged me and always showed interest in my life. Not just any ordinary man cares for others and what happens in their lives. God places people in our lives for a reason!

He was such a loving, kind, gracious man who has forever left an imprint on my heart. I will always remember Charlie's smile. I would see him at the senior center from time to time and he just lit the place up.He & Lea were the perfect couple. It was a pleasure to know them. Rest In Peace Charlie, you will be missed by all who knew you.
