My thoughts and prayers are with the family. From the first day that I met Fred in 1974, he became a mentor and great friend. He had such a huge impact on many lives. I will certainly miss his kindness and friendship, but I will alway cherish the many memories that I shared with him.

I was so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He hired me in 1980 and I worked for and with him for many years. He was a great boss and a good friend and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It was a privilege to know and work with Fred. He lived his life in distinction, committed to those he loved and the country he served. I learned much from him in the years we spent working together. I shall always remember and be grateful for his thoughtful advise and encouragement.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family as they morn the passing of a phenomenal man and a life well spent.

My heart is saddened today to hear of Fred's passing. He was one of the first people I met at SRC 18 years ago during my initial interviews. I was always happy to spend time with him when I travelled to Charleston for work. He was a wonderful man and will be truly missed. Prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends. Rest in peace.

It is hard for me to express my feelings upon hearing of the passing of my very good friend and coworker Fred. As I reflect upon the memories I have of Fred, it is more of a teacher - student relationship. He had so much to offer, I learned a great deal from this man. My family sends their condolences.

My sincere sympathies to the family. Fred was a highly respected, well-loved co-worker. He had a great sense of humor and I loved his leadership style. I am so thankful our paths crossed because he had such an impact on my working career. RIP
